Coffee @ Lynn's Paradise Cafe

Tuesday, June 2, 2009
If you are every in Louisville KY you must go to Lynn's Paradise Cafe. It is a great breakfast- I had the wild mushroom scramble, fruit, and fresh orange juice. I am not a biscuit fan, but there are exceptions- It is a cornmeal and white biscuit mix. Very Yummy!

On the running front I am super excited to get started with the Run with Donna group on Saturday! I have a cute new running skirt and hat. It is like the first day of school.

Fancy!

I saw this shoe box in an antique store and just loved it. I wanted to bring it home, but the shoes were a size 6. I just love the idea that someone had written Fancy Sandals!

Life never slows down. I have been avoiding the computer lately and opting to knit, run, or cook. I got a call from my mother in law that Joe, Seth's brother is in the hospital and is very sick. It was such a shock as we spend the long holiday weekend with him.

Life is to precious not to wear your Fancy Sandals!

If you read my blog or know me-then you ,I always struggle with weight and exercise. 8 weeks ago I started back at Weight Watchers. Things are going good- 10lbs so far. I just felt as if a piece of the puzzle was missing. An EXERCISE PLAN!

So, I am trying Body for Life. So far so good this is the end of week 1. I could barely walk after my first leg exercise. I have been consuming massive amounts of info on exercise and metabolism.

I found that Body for Life might be a good idea! I eat 6 meals a day and it is very balanced. I am combining it with Weight Watchers to make sure my total calorie consumtion is correct. I feel like I have been eating to large of portions and BLT (bites, licks, and tastes) are killing me.

So, my thoughts on week 1. Starting weight 203lb -End of week 202lb

1 lb, My body is weird and will hang on to weight and then drop a large amount 2 to 3 weeks after the work. I feel stronger, never hungry, love eating 6 times a day.

I made these pancakes this morning and thought the were great. More like a crepe- I filled my with fruit and topped it with a dolip of cool whip.

I like watching this guy- I think he is a cutie! He has lost a ton of weight!

I also posted a picture of the horse trailer I bought for my toy Tonka truck. I think the colors are a great match. I just love the idea of this realistic well worn (loved) toy. I guess Seth was jealous so he bought a Jeep and a small U haul trailer. I use the tuck on my dinning table to hold fruit.

So here are my treasures
Betsy- is the name I gave my new dress form. She is foam with a cast iron base and cotton slip. Cost $20.00

Looking for motivation

Monday, December 15, 2008
I have not been running much lately. There is no specific reason- just missing mojo. I am planning on running a half marathon in February, but I have got to get my butt in gear. I have not run over 6 miles in a while. I run for me in a lot of cases, but I have helped causes in the past.

This year I hope to cover my running shirt in ribbons. The ribbon does not have to be for a individual who has been effected by breast cancer. I will also sew on ribbons for a person you choose to honor- a person who has encouraged you or is a personal hero. That is what I need to do honor the people effected by breast cancer and find my inspiration to run.

So I am asking for a little accountibility. You can post a comment or email me a person you want to remember, honor, or thank for encouraging you. You will be assigned a number to correspond with the ribbon. I will then sew your ribbon on and photograph it along the way. Please title your email- Jodi get your but in gear!
